Little Blessings Dressings, LLC is a giant kids’ consignment sale that takes place at the Washington County Fairgrounds every September and March. LBD is committed to helping families save on gently used children’s clothing, toys, gear, and more. The sale was started in 1999 at the old Holiday Inn by South Hills Village Mall. It continued to grow and soon had to be moved to the North Strabane Fire Department Hall and then again to the largest building at the Washington County Fairgrounds! In 2005, the founder, Melanie Casey, moved to Texas. At that time, long-time shopper and consignor, Kristi Hannon, didn’t want the sale to end. She asked her friend Kerry to be her partner and together, the two continued the tradition of Little Blessings Dressings. In 2017, Kristi and Kerry decided it was time to move on and we (Kristin Blosel and Faith Walker) had the opportunity to take over. It came at the perfect time, as we were both on maternity leave from our teaching jobs in Peters Township. We both love consignment sales and getting a good deal on things for our kids, so we decided to embark on a new adventure!
Kristin and I met over 20 years ago during our freshman year at Geneva College. After graduating, we were blessed to get teaching jobs in the same school district. Our friendship has gone through many seasons…from Starbucks dates, to faculty meetings, to play dates with our kids…and now business meetings! We never imagined we would one day be business partners, but we’re very thankful! The team of consignors and workers at Little Blessings Dressings is what makes our jobs such a joy. We truly love the sale and look forward to seeing everyone!
